Planning and Making our Mise En Scene

For our title sequence we wanted to make props and choose outfits and settings that would enhance the genre. As our film is a mystery of a missing little boy we wanted to create props that would show this but not be too obvious. We created a missing person poster:
We created this on Photoshop, with reference to similar missing posters that we researched. We made several copies of this and battered one to make it appear old and as though it had been on the lamppost for a long time to show that the case had been investigated previously. We then stuck a new one over the top to show that the case is being opened up again.

To go in out evidence box we bought an evidence seal, used some toy cars and made a detective card:

This was put on top of the evidence box so the audience would understand that it is a police and an official investigation.

We then decided to work on our typography for the titles in our sequence. We played around with different fonts, and from the start of the project we knew we wanted to make it look like handwriting to match the handwriting of the child or almost like handwritten clues to develop the investigation but somehow tie this in with our title sequence.
We couldnt find any written fonts that met what we wanted, so we decided to go for a different approach  and chose to hand write the titles ourselves and do this on ripped up pieces of paper. We then scanned these in:
